SOTD – Jay Reatard : It Ain’t Gonna Save Me
The internet world has stopped today missing the brilliance that was Jay Reatard. The 29 year old, who in previous incarnations leads bands like The Reatards & Lost Sounds before putting out an excellent solo CD.
Jay (Real name Jay Lindsay) was found dead last night in his sleep, nothing has been announced about cause of his death.
His latest CD, Watch me fall, was one of my favourite party cds of 2009, bringing out catchy, dancey pop punk songs.
This single features old fashion rock sensibilities, punky beats and a general feel good fell.
The first musical death on 2010. RIP Jay.
